House of Paws Dog Boarding Tips

Tour the dog boarding Home ahead of time.

At House of Paws when know that most people have busy lives and might find it difficult to tour our home . That's why We have created a YouTube channel that shows the area your dog will be playing in, The living room they will be sleeping in. The channel shows some of our past Guest from the tiny puppies to the large dogs we've watched. But if you wish , you may come and visit our place.

Make sure the kennel staff is aware of your dog’s special needs.

Please bring up Any potential issues you feel might come up when your dog is with us. Things such as can't climb steps or allergies the dog might have. Again safety is our first concern

Feel free to bring your dog’s food.

We ask that you provide the same food he/she is used too at home. whether dry or canned is fine. At house of paws we try to keep the same routine and eating habits they would have at home. This also would include specific snacks they might have at certain times of the day.

Bring a special toy or blanket for your dog.

Any toy or blanket your pet uses or plays with at home should be brought with the dog to make him/her as comfortable as possible. It also helps to have some familiar items from the home.

Leave a phone number where you can be reached.

Thank god for caller ID. Many a times I've had people drop off there pets without leaving a contact number. So we ask that you just write it down on the same paper with the other information about your pet.

Respect the kennel’s pick-up and drop-off hours.

At House of Paws we are very flexible for drop off and pick up times, any time from 7am to 10pm is acceptable.

Make the departure quick.

Long goodbyes sometimes may be more stressful than it needs to be on your pet. It’s best to just quietly hand the leash over and be done with it.

Don’t worry if your dog is tired when he comes home.

Pretty much throughout the day the lower part of our home has two French doors are wide open to the enclosed back yard so your pet and his friends would be running in and out . So yeah, they get a lot of exercise.

Call and check on your dog.

At House of Paws we provide a Live web cam so that owners may view and see how there pet is doing. As well as send photos.

Check to make sure his/her collar has ID on it.

On Occasion as owners, we will take off the collar or tags. When boarding your pet at another location . Please check to see your pet has ID Tags.
